Who We Are

WE ARE…

Faith… because we believe that we are saved by grace through faith (Eph 2:8) and that without faith it is impossible to please God.

Community… because we want to be a warm and loving church that draws any and all those in our community who are looking for a Bible-believing Chris-centred church

Church… because we are a community of people saved and set apart by Jesus Christ to worship and serve him.

WE'RE CALLED...

Christian because we are part of the historic Christian faith, that body of believers built on the foundation of Jesus Christ

Reformed because we are rooted in the Reformation and its recommitment to the Bible as the only authority for faith and life.

WHERE WE ARE COMING FROM...

We got started as a group of Christians who lived around here but went to church in Truro. In the mid-70’s, we started our own congregation, called ourselves Faith Chapel, and began meeting in Shubenacadie. In 1986, we became an official church of the Christian Reformed denomination. In 1987, we built our present building and moved to Milford. Our complete statement of faith is the Heidelberg Catechism, the Belgic Confession, and the Canons of Dort.
