Meet Our Pastor  . . .

Pastor Paul Vanderkooy has shepherded the Faith Community CRC flock in Milford Nova Scotia for the past seven years.  He worked as an educator in Christian schools in Ontario for several years before being called to the ministry.  Pastor Paul grew up in Toronto, Ontario.  He is married to Susan and together they are the parents of five children.

We Believe . . .

John 3:16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (NIV)

• In the truth and trustworthiness of the Bible (2 Timothy 3:16)
• In one God, the Creator, who exists in three persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit  (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19)
• In Jesus Christ who died for the sin of the world to save us from its power and penalty (1 Peter 2:24)
• That we receive this salvation as a gift rather than a result of the good we do.  To receive we must repent of sin and put our faith in Jesus Christ.  (Acts 3:19; Ephesians 2:8,9)
• That anyone who receives Jesus Christ is forgiven of all their sins, is spiritually reborn, and is given the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38; Titus 3:3-7)
• That we are part of the one universal church of Jesus to which all true believers belong. (1 Corinthians 12:13)
• That Jesus Christ will return to judge the world, taking those who receive him to heaven and banishing those who have not recieved him.  (Acts 17:31; John 3:16)
